This replacement battery Dell Inspiron 1710 is as good as the Dell-branded those of Sanyo Corporation. I get about 3-4 hours with WiFi on, screen dimmed, and moderate web surfing. I am dual-booting Windows 7100 and Windows Vista RC 7. I get about 20-35 minutes more with Windows 7 I think the new operating system is more efficient to manage resources in comparison to the bloated Windows Vista.
