Problem Description:
The laptop is completely dead. If the Toshiba Satellite A300 Charger and press on the power button connector, nothing happens. The laptop has no signs of life in general. None of the LED lights work.
Possible Cause:
First AC adapter fails.
Second Power jack failure.
Third Motherboard failure.
Possible steps for troubleshooting and repair solution:
First Test the Dell PA-21 AC Adapter with a multimeter. It is possible that you have a failed power supply. If you do not have a multimeter, test your laptop with another known good Dell Inspiron 1300 AC Adapter.

Second It is possible that current socket (socket where the power supply) is faulty. Remove the motherboard and a closer look at the power jack. In some cases, you can attach the socket by resoldering it on the motherboard. In other cases, you need to replace the socket with a new one.
Test with a multimeter, if the power goes to the motherboard via the socket.

Third When replacing the Dell Latitude D830 AC Adapter and socket on the motherboard does not help, you probably have a bad motherboard. Replace the motherboard.
